Critical Race Theory Is In Idaho, Despite How They Dress it Up

Critical Race Theory Is In Idaho,
Despite How They Dress it Up

by Shari Dovale

I remember a few years ago, during an election cycle, Sherri Ybarra (Superintendent of Public Instruction for Idaho) came to my little town to ask for votes. She campaigned on how she got rid of Common Core because it was so hated by parents.

The problem being that she didn’t really get rid of Common Core, she just changed the name to Idaho Core Standards. This never really fooled anyone, to the point that they are back to calling it Common Core Standards.

This is a good example of how many elected government officials lie to the people and proceed with their agendas regardless of what the people want.

Another good example is Critical Race Theory (CRT). Parents and educators are speaking out, even screaming, against these Marxist ideals that are being forced on our children.

CRT is promoted as a solution to systemic racism in our country. However, all they have done is tell everyone that they are racist and cannot do anything about it.

Yes, that’s correct. Everyone is either oppressed, if they are black, or an oppressor if they are anything other than black. Anyone that is not black is inherently racist from birth, and must pay for the sins of … well, everyone.

These ideas are only promoted by people that will gain some benefit from them, as well as the ‘woke’ faction that get on board with whatever they are told. It is condemned by the overwhelming majority of the country and laws are being passed to stop this Marxism from damaging our children.

In Idaho, the Legislature passed, and Gov. Little signed, H 377 into law accepting that it would prevent teachers from “indoctrinating” students into belief systems that claim that members of any race, sex, religion, ethnicity or national origin are inferior or superior to other groups, specifically Critical Race Theory.

“the Idaho legislature finds that the tenets… often found in “critical race theory”… exacerbate and inflame divisions on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, national origin, or other criteria in a way contrary to the unity of the nation and the well-being of the state of Idaho and its citizens.”

However, as we have already noted, the people are not always told the truth. Sometimes they just put lipstick on the pig and call it a brand new pig.

Coeur d’Alene schools have put together an  “equity toolkit” to slip Critical Race Theory into the curriculum, defying the state lawmakers and H 377.

In case you were still wondering if it is actually CRT that is being taught here, let me give you a few quotes from this toolkit, emphasis added:

  • “Racial and socioeconomic diversity benefits communities, schools, and children from all backgrounds.”
  • “Educational equity charges leaders and staff to collectively remove barriers that prevent anyone from achieving his or her aspirations” (dumbing down the curriculum)
  • “fostering a culturally-responsive environment, this involves critically reflecting on one’s attitudes and beliefs about oneself and others to uncover biases”

Look through the toolkit and decide for yourself:

When asked about this, Idaho Freedom Foundation reports that Gov. Brad Little largely dismissed the idea that CRT is spreading in Idaho schools.

Because Brad Little is busy putting lipstick on this pig.
