Imagine That It Was YOUR Daughter

Imagine this:

Your daughter is in the corner market when a bad guy comes in and robs the store. The police arrive after the robbery while your daughter is still in the store and shoot her to death. Wait! She’s not part of the crime! She’s innocent of any of the wrong doing! Why’d they kill her?

Now imagine that daughter is a baby in her mother’s womb. The robber is instead a hired assassin with “M.D.” after his name. The baby was conceived during the criminal act of incest or rape but she’s not guilty of any crime. Why is she being murdered?

Some legal background is necessary here:

Murder, which is a form of Homicide, is defined, in part, in Idaho Code as:

18-4001. MURDER DEFINED. “Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being including, but not limited to, a human embryo or fetus, with malice aforethought…”

The “malice” requirement is addressed in 18-4002. It has two forms, express or implied. The malice requirement for abortion is clearly “express” and the Code defines it as: “…[Malice] is express when there is manifested a deliberate intention unlawfully to take away the life of a fellow creature…”

There are two degrees of Murder: First Degree and Second Degree. For purposes of abortion, First degree is defined at:

18-4003. DEGREES OF MURDER. (a) All murder which is perpetrated by means of poison, or lying in wait, or torture, when torture is inflicted with the intent to cause suffering, to execute vengeance, to extort something from the victim, or to satisfy some sadistic inclination, or which is perpetrated by any kind of willful, deliberate and premeditated killing is murder of the first degree.

Because every abortion is “willful, deliberate and premeditated killing…” it clearly falls into the definition of First Degree Murder.

The punishment for First Degree Murder is set out at 18-4004 and includes Death or Life in Prison.

So why aren’t doctors who murder babies in the womb subject to 18-4001?

18-4016 (2)(a): DEFINITION OF HUMAN EMBRYO AND FETUS — PROHIBITING THE PROSECUTION OF CERTAIN PERSONS.

(1) For purposes of this chapter “embryo” or “fetus” shall mean any human in utero.

(2) Nothing in this chapter, arising from the killing of an embryo or fetus, shall be construed to permit the prosecution:

(a) Of any person for conduct relating to an abortion for which the consent of the pregnant woman, or a person authorized by law to act on her behalf, has been obtained or for which such consent is implied by law;…

As my attorney friend John said, “It’s kind of ironic that we correctly identify these Idahoans as “human” but then go on to say it’s ok to kill them as long as they are ‘in utero’” and the mother is commissioning the act. Remember 4001 noted above?

“Murder” is the premeditated taking of a life and that baby’s life started at conception. (Did you know that the preponderance of doctors who commit murder of children who are still in the womb (“in utero”) admit they know that life starts at conception?) Just because the government says doctors are exempted from the murder statute doesn’t mean it isn’t wrong. Remember the Dred Scott decision? The government has made horrendous legal decisions over the years.

“But it’s the mother’s body and she should get to decide what happens to the baby/fetus/embryo!” Tell that to that baby girl residing inside of her mother. That baby isn’t part of that woman! Her placenta is attached to the mother’s womb but it’s not part of that woman. That is a separate person inside of that mother!

It’s time we stopped using that “clean” word “abortion” and start calling the act what it really is: the murder of an innocent child who hasn’t been born, yet.

If you are truly a “pro-life” person then let others know that! Do you really believe life starts at conception and that is a human being inside of that mother? If so then don’t be afraid to tell the world what you believe and then demand that our government stop allowing the murder of children who are waiting to be born!
