RINOs Ahead: Proceed with Caution

The primary election is scheduled for May 17, 2022

RINOs Ahead: Proceed with Caution

As part of a private high school civics class comprised of students in the 7th through 12th grade levels, students were asked to write opinion editorials on topics of their own choosing which reflect current themes in governance and policy-making.  Over the course of the next few weeks the class will be tracking the views of and commentary on their op-eds with the goal of generating as much meaningful community engagement as possible.  Awards will be given to the students who most successfully generate meaningful community engagement with their op-ed. Thanks so much for partnering with us to create this experience for the children and teaching them to be actively involved in the governance of their community!

RINOs Ahead: Proceed with Caution

RINOs: not only in the African safari but in a town near you.

RINO is a term that means Republican In Name Only. It is often used to describe elected officials who are registered with the Republican Party but do not vote to uphold traditionally Republican values. These RINOs talk a good game, but when it is time to act, they are swayed by special interest groups that do not have the citizens’ best interest in mind.

The last two years have taught us that we need to elect individuals in Idaho that are going to stand up and protect Idahoans’ individual liberties. We need true Republicans that are going to follow the Constitution, protect our God-given rights, and stand up to the Left’s / RINO’s radical agenda of over-taxation, racist/illegal school curriculum, and an ever-tightening government control.

It can seem like we are constantly inundated with RINOs who are self-serving and have turned their backs on the citizens of Idaho, but there IS good news. There ARE candidates that are true Republicans that will fight back and stand up to the RINOs and the Left.

Scott Herndon is running against Jim Woodward for Idaho State Senate. Woodward has not kept the citizens’ best interest in mind. Senator Woodward voted for House Bill 784, which allowed $307,000 for e-books targeting K-12 students, including books with inappropriate, illegal material as well as woke critical race theory ideology. Herndon will bring his Christian, conservative values to the State Senate to help preserve Idaho.

Grant Dorman is running against Donna Gow for Bonner County Assessor. Dorman’s core values as an assessor will be respect for privacy, respect for property rights, and respect for people. He worked as a professional land surveyor for decades and will bring this knowledge to the Assessor position. Dorman will prioritize the citizens of Bonner County. As assessor, Dorman will have an open-door policy to help citizens with issues and will form a citizen committee to find ways to make the DMV process easier.

Representative Priscilla Giddings is a Constitutional Republican who has been fighting for Idahoans in the State Legislature for years. Giddings is now running against Scott Bedke for Lieutenant Governor of Idaho. As a Representative, Giddings has fought back against the RINOs’ harmful agenda. Last session, Giddings introduced legislation (RS 29596C1) that would further protect Idahoans’ Second Amendment rights. Her proposed bill would fix a loophole in state law that allows private businesses to restrict a citizens’ Constitutional right to carry a firearm when leasing public property for an event. Bedke, on the other hand, has voted for red flag gun laws.

Lieutenant Governor Janice McGeachin is running for Governor of Idaho against incumbent Governor Brad Little. McGeachin is a true Republican that has a track record of fighting for Idaho and upholding the Constitution. Her traditional conservative principles of individual liberties and state sovereignty is what Idaho needs. She wants to do away with the FEMA COVID agreement that gives the federal government more control over Idaho and its citizens. Governor Brad Little, on the other hand, has not stood up to the federal government to protect the rights of Idaho citizens, and un-Constitutionally unilaterally extended Idaho’s COVID lockdowns and allocated billions of federal COVID money without the legislature’s oversight.

We need candidates who will uphold the Constitution and fight for Idahoans’ rights rather than take special interest money or be influenced by the radical Left. Vote for real, Constitutional Republicans on May 17th and help protect Idaho!

  1. Great article and Giddings and McGeachin are who we need to run our state, not rinos and idiots who have delusions of grandeur.

  2. Love this. The RINO’s have been trying really hard to fit in, but they stick out like a RINO in town. I know this from door knocking, people get who the true conservatives are. Thank you for your article..keep up the good work!

  3. Folks need to learn more about Steve Bradshaw running for Governor. While I like Janice, she wasn’t on top of ARP, esp. Section/paragraph 9A. But I did like it when she suspended mandates when POS Little left the state.
