Snowflake Acosta Gets Another Pass

Jim Acosta used his bully tactics to disrupt a White House press briefing last week, seemingly because he was not getting enough attention. President Trump’s staff then acted appropriately to remove the disruption from the press conference.

Acosta obviously places an emphasis on his priority and expects special treatment because, well… Jim.

CNN, then got their liberal snowflake going and sued to get Acosta allowed back into the White House, because, well…Jim.

U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Kelly decided that Acosta should be allowed access to the White House, but emphasized that the White House does not have to allow him to ask questions.

Let’s look at this for a minute.

Beginning with the First and Fifth Amendment’s, as CNN attorneys claimed Acosta’s rights were violated both ways (emphasis added):

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The White House has not stopped Freedom of Speech, or of the press. There are more than 50 reporters that have ‘Hard Passes’, or credentials, to access the White House to cover the events there. CNN has a great block of reporters that can cover the White House. This is not about the first amendment, this is about, well…Jim.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Judge Kelly seems to think that Acosta was not given his due process to rebut the removal of his press credentials. First of all, this is not a court of law. This is allowing access to someone’s house, in which a certain standard of decorum is expected. What is Jim’s attitude? That he can act any way he pleases, heckling the President and verbally abusing anyone around him? Where is his apology? That should have been the first step.

This is not acceptable behavior in a polite society. But, then again, with Liberal legislators encouraging everyone to harass conservatives, the rules of social decorum seem to have changed.

CNN seems to love these headlines, as you can see above. You would think that CNN would instruct their reporters to represent them in a positive light, however, apparently they prefer this behavior, as it gives them more divisive headlines.

Additionally, President Trump does not have to allow press conferences. He takes his words straight to the people. He uses social media and gets great feedback from his constituents. There are no rules that demand he put up with belligerent press people, just because, well…Jim.

This is proven by his predecessor Obama, who went months without a press conference, causing the media to complain incessantly, yet they seem to have forgotten about this.

Obama even took it a step further and had someone removed from a press conference for the same heckling behavior. In that instance, reporters yelled encouragement to Obama.

So, the liberal left has set out very clear rules that they expect President Trump to follow, but not their favorites, such as Obama or Clinton.

It is within President Trump’s rights to grant access to whomever he chooses. He does not have to call on specific reporters, or even hold press briefings. Journalists are there at his pleasure, regardless of how they want to report the issues.

It is not a Constitutional right for specific individuals to be allowed access to our President, or his house. If so, why hasn’t all of the alternative media been given hard passes?

I attempted to obtain a hard pass press credential to cover the White House. The process seems to be locked up by their non-government press association, of which they exclude any alternative media. I now ask the White House directly to grant Redoubt News full press credentials so that we may give proper coverage for the benefit of the people.
