Trump Wins in Historic Upset

by Shari Dovale

In a major upset to Liberal Progressives, Donald Trump won the United States Presidential election against Hillary Clinton.

It is being hailed as an historic uprising against America’s flirtation with Socialism. The people of this country have soundly rejected the Obama/Clinton agenda of globalization.

The slow moving main stream media took several hours on Tuesday night to call the winner of the election, even though Trump led in the contested states. They seemed to be shell shocked and awaiting direction from the Hillary campaign.

Even the not-so-conservative FOX News continued to hold out hope for their candidate. Rachel Maddow of MSNBC basically had a meltdown on the air.

When it became too much to deny, Clinton sent her campaign manager, John Podesta, out to the stage to send all of her supporters home. She declined to make an appearance, and all indications were that she would not concede the election to Trump.

However, about 20 minutes later, Trump walked onto the stage and confirmed a concession call from the former Secretary of State. He was gracious to her in his acceptance speech and seemed to sincerely want to bring the country together,

Trump drew cheers when he said that the “forgotten man and woman will never be forgotten again” and “America will no longer settle for anything less than the best.”

Trump immediately began receiving telegrams and messages from leaders around the world.

Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated him as a "true friend" of Israel. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Trump and was reported to have toasted the victory with champagne. Philippines' President Duterte congratulated the President-elect and indicated the desire to work with him, coming just a month after him telling Obama to “Go to Hell.”

Trump has already made a difference in how the world views the United States, with the stature rising exponentially. The few countries that are upset at Hillary losing are steeped in Socialism and bound to globalization.

Trump made many promises during his campaign, and I am certain that the people will hold him to them. Repealing Obamacare, knocking out Common Core, halting Muslim migration and building a wall at the southern border are just a few.

He can easily change the direction the country had been taking with a few strokes of his pen and his promise to wipe out the unconstitutional executive orders from the current lame-duck filling his seat in the White House.

Trump begins his presidency with a Republican Senate and House, so we will see how much he can accomplish. If they allow him to complete half of his promises, the country will be better off than we have been in years.

The country and the world looked on and smiled when he stated, “I promise you that I will not let you down.”
