Davillier Law Group Statement on Kaiser Lawsuit Against Bonner County

The law firm representing Bonner County against the lawsuit filed by former airport director James Kaiser anticipates the evidence will prove that Mr. Kaiser’s filing is a politically motivated strike suit riddled with falsehoods and misinformation conveniently filed just weeks before an election.  Bonner County’s legal team plans to vigorously challenge the lawsuit’s claims.

Bonner County’s attorney, Colton Boyles of the Davillier Law Group, said that he is confident that a full airing of the facts in court will show that the County has no legal liability whatsoever to Mr. Kaiser. He further stated that the County has no intention of allocating taxpayers’ hard earned dollars toward settling a suit that it believes to be groundless. “We expect the evidence to show that Bonner County acted appropriately and lawfully. The misguided lawsuit appears to be based in part on a statement clearly made by Commissioner McDonald in jest.  We believe the evidence will show that the complaint is without merit and contains false and potentially defamatory allegations, not only against Commissioner Dan McDonald and part-time airport manager Dave Schuck, but other County employees as well. We look forward to the opportunity to defend their good reputations in court, and have the facts come to light.”

Further inquiries should be directed to Mr. Colton Boyles of the Davillier Law Group at (208) 920-6140 or cboyles@davillierlawgroup.com.
