Fort Hall Man Sentenced for Manslaughter
POCATELLO – Joaquin Broncho, 19, also known as Joaquin Dancing Thunder Bluehorse, was originally indicted on a charge of second degree murder. However, under a plea agreement, Broncho, of Fort Hall, Idaho, was sentenced today to 6 1/2 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced.
Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Broncho to serve three years of supervised release. Broncho pleaded guilty on February 9, 2016. Broncho was previously charged as a juvenile in this case, but his case was later transferred to adult court.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Fort Hall Police Department.
