The Root Cause Of The Todd Engel Sentence To 14 Years Of Hell

by Loren Edward Pearce

Peeling back the onion, layer after layer, drilling down to the root cause of why Todd was given a 14 year prison sentence, we find the usual motivation for all bad things that happen in our society….money and power.

You see, our founders were scared to death of a centralized, federal government, knowing full well that once the monster was created, the monster would grow, and like all good monsters, it would abuse its power.

The formula is very simple: Bullies bully because they enjoy the power, bullies succeed because they are bigger and can enforce their will. Not complicated at all.

Todd defended himself before Gloria Navarro. Gloria didn’t like that, she expected him to grovel, to fall down prostrate and plead for the mercy of the court. He didn’t do that and she, like any bully, applied the bully principle, grovel, or pay. Todd paid.

Navarro is a federal employee. She, along with her federal team of prosecutors, are co-workers. They have each others backs. The only reason that she reprimanded the prosecution in a previous trial was because of the surprising development of the Wooten memo. Absent the Wooten memo, her hand would not have been forced, and she would continue her favorable relationship with her federal co-workers, ie, the marshals, the prosecutors, the ever present FBI, Homeland Security, etc, etc.

Federal employees have an exclusive club. Their pay and benefits are among the highest in the USA as shown in the above chart. It is is a difficult club to get into. Entry requires that you be a veteran, a minority or a female. Navarro can check off two boxes, minority (Cuban) and female. It has been noted that Navarro had little legal experience, and zero experience as a judge. Yet, because she was a hand picked favorite of Harry Reid, she got membership into the club.

In spite of the difficult entry requirements, the federal government is the largest employer in the USA, not counting the military. As such, there are millions of federal workers who will do whatever it takes to protect their turf.

Few things will bring out the fury and fierce determination of somebody like protecting one’s pay and benefits. Threaten a person’s pay, benefits and job security, and you will get the worse out of them. As noted above, federal employees have far superior pay and benefits to private sector employees, and they will fiercely protect their turf.

Todd Engel and others threatened that federal turf when they took on the federal brothers and sisters among the BLM and challenged BLM jurisdiction. But, it wasn’t just the BLM, it was a long string of federal brothers and sisters, the EPA, the marshals, the FBI, the Park Service, Wildlife services, and on and on. The very thing the founders feared.

The reason Joe Robertson, a humble, meek, former veteran ended up in prison for building a pond on his own property, was the same reason that Todd Engel ended up in prison, for daring to take on the federal club.

When the US constitution was being proposed, there were many opponents. The anti-federalists vigorously fought the idea of a centralized, federal government, because they had just fought a war against an abusive, centralized government. The federalists argued that we needed to have something, something very limited, but a centralized government that protected our borders and with a common defense against foreign invaders. Very limited!

With that assurance, the anti-federalists gave in. The monster was born. The monster, like the machines in the Terminator, like the machines in the Matrix, like any bully would naturally do, it grew and grew and grew and grew, to where it is today. Thousands of times bigger than the founders ever imagined.

And like any good monster or bully, it is going to protect its existence, with whatever it takes.

Todd Engel, Burleson, and many others are being used as examples by the monster, a monster that will not allow its existence to be threatened.

The monster has weaponized. Thousands of federal co-workers are armed, far better armed than non-federal civilians. Why? Because they can! Because they have the momentum. Because they have the backing and support of other federal brothers and sisters: Congress. Congress also enjoys pay and benefits not found in the private sector. Congressional staff are federal workers, and they want to protect the monster.

What do we do about it? Wake up! Wake up others! Don’t go back to your TV’s, your barbecues, your movies, your sports. Wake up and get involved. Wake up and get people elected who will take on the monster, or as sure as my words on this page, Todd Engel is just the beginning and what happened to him, can happen to you or someone you care about.

Oh, and stop the infighting between patriots.
