Omodt & Herndon Claim To Advocate For 1A Rights
BOCC Chairman Omodt claims to be an advocate of First Amendment rights, yet his recent meeting rules, suspended public comment and his overused “recesses” prove otherwise.
Additionally, Omodt’s authority as chair allows him exclusive agenda ability to seek financial investigation of the alleged embezzlement/grand theft crimes in fairground operations for the years 2020-2022, and an apparently 2023, an improper attempt to grant an employee a $60,000 severance bonus, stopped in the 11th hour by public objection and exposure of the facts.
Deceit, misrepresentations and nonfeasance, arguably, plague Commissioner Omodt’s decision-making record.
Further, Why are Omodt and Scott Herndon, Chairman of the Bonner County Republican Central Committee, instituting the same censorship business meeting rules, an outright bastardization of their formally adopted Robert’s Rules, instituted to protect minority rights of members? Answer: The Chairman neutrality required of both Omodt and Herndon led business meetings, pursuant to Robert’s Rules, have been tossed overboard for the purpose of SELF-PROTECTION in a 2024 election year!
Further, Witnesses observed the Bonner County Republican Central Committee (BCRCC) and Chairman Herndon engaging in unrighteous acts of political rapture. Two female BCRCC Board Officers with exemplary organizational service and financial contributions were purged from the BCRCC this past week. What is Herndon’s apparent hang-up with dedicated, intelligent and productive women?
Further, Chairman Herndon again exposed the BCRCC to certain and deserving public scrutiny in violating a recently changed IDGOP Rule, Article IX, Section 1. The BCRCC voted to prematurely “recommend”/endorse candidates for 2024 primary races prior to the closing of candidacy deadlines, March 2024. Further, in each of the District 1 and 3 Commissioner races, the BCRCC possessed knowledge of declared candidacies, yet did not include certain Republican party candidates in any materially significant evaluation process before making a premature “preference” selection of one candidate over all others.
In essence, BCRCC Chairman Herndon and his “disciples” (self-identified affiliates of the local political Christian organization that is known by various names to secret their organizational leadership and operations, comprising 2/3(+) of the BCRCC membership), let’s call them “Fight Club,” you know rule #1 and rule #2, to solicit political candidates from their religious clan, or convert non-clan candidates with the leverage of bestowing, a prized, BCRCC recommendation/endorsement.
The minority voices within the BCRCC, genuinely, seek to righteously protect the moral and ethical credibility of the “official” Republican Party organization by walking in the light.
