Omodt Snubs The People… Again
Once again, Bonner County Commissioner Luke Omodt disrespects The People.
In the egregious January 9, 2024 BOCC meeting, Luke Omodt declared two recesses (90 minutes, and 2 hours), because he did not like the dialog that was occurring.
After the 90-minute recess, the meeting resumed only to have him declare a 5-minute recess and then enter Executive Session. After Executive Session, the meeting resumed until Luke declared a 2-hour recess.
As a result, a meeting that began at 9 AM did not end until after 3 PM.
Luke obstructed public comment of two citizens who were calmly reading their statements, and he disrespected the Lieutenant Sheriff who was present.
There were several Statute and Ordinance violations, and at least three separate Bonner County citizens have filed complaints with our Prosecuting Attorney for action.
