Deportation
By Pete Ketcham
Trump has set out many things he wishes to accomplish in the next four years, one of which is to secure the border and deport the illegals aliens that the Biden administration has facilitated to illegally enter our country.
It has been estimated that there has been approximately (including “gotaways”} twelve million individuals over the past four years who entered our country illegally. This would equate to approximately 250,000 per month. Included within this number are gang members, cartel members, felony criminals, drug dealers, and human smugglers. To bring our nation back to where Trump left it in 2020, it would require 250,000 deportations per month for four years, which would seem improbable, if not impossible due to the required legal deportation procedures.
This is not to say that Trump will not be successful in accomplishing very large deportations, and that he will no doubt concentrate on the gang members, cartel members, felony criminals, drug dealers, and human traffickers.
Trump is appointing experienced competent individuals such as Tom Homan,
(“The Border Czar”) to set up a program to help the Border Patrol, ICE, and other agencies successfully accomplish his deportation goals. No one at this time knows the specific actions and strategies that Trump and his associates will enact to accomplish a major deportation program. There is speculation he may declare a national emergency in order to use the military.
In any event there will be considerable opposition by the Democrats to Trump’s program of deportation, but with the Republicans holding the majority of both the senate and house it would seem that he has a good chance of accomplishing most of his deportation goals.
