A Permanent Division?
By Pete Ketcham
In the previous short article titled “Irreparably Divided” it was stated “that regardless of who wins, the election result will divide the nation farther”, but as one peruses the recent news concerning the upcoming presidential election, it looks like it could be a major historic event that could divide the nation for years.
The mood of the voters in both parties (Democrat, Republican) have indicated they will not accept the results if they lose. There will be numerous lawsuits, protests, riots, and movements by the losing side. Lawsuits are already being filed, and numerous Democrat leaning groups have applied for permits in Washing DC to assemble and hold “events”.
In addition to the losing voters opposition to the election results, there is a possibility that the vice president and Democrat congress members could refuse to certify the electoral college vote if Trump wins.
Conclusion
How ever this election turns out, it appears it could be the most tumultuous dividing election in our nation’s history (except for the civil war).
The conservative (christian based) citizens will need God’s help to reunite and return this nation to it’s founding principles and peaceful elections.
