Does Neil deGrasse Tyson Really Understand Science?

Neil deGrasse Tyson (NDT) is the patronizing and obnoxious astrophysicist that trolls X/twitter trying to prove that his brainiacs is better than yourn.

Calling himself a “science communicator,” he takes it upon himself to mansplain to the world how he is the only one smart enough to understand his truth.

So, apparently, the science is always settled, right Neil?

For example, when he is not fighting the demons that accuse him of sexual harassment, he is kicking planets outta the galaxy.

It has been settled science since 1930 when Pluto was discovered by US astronomer Clyde Tombaugh. Until our buddy Tyson decided that the science was not so settled after all and declared Pluto to be a “dwarf planet” and not a real planet.

Science has always been about debate. Postulating a theory and setting about to prove it true or not true. You can actually disprove science! Yet, NDT does not address this. For him, it is just settled and that’s the end of it.

Vaccines are another good example.

NDT put together a documentary called A Shot in the Arm, featuring everyone’s favorite Anthony Fauci. He also included Dr. Peter Hotez in his little movie. If you haven’t heard of him, Hotez is the professor that really, really wanted the laws changed to outlaw criticizing Fauci and call it a federal hate crime.

I guess this astrophysicist decided to up and become an expert on pandemics, vaccines and stupid little anti-vaxxers.

But the science was settled prior to that, as Fauci himself made clear back in 2004.

Now, the self proclaimed expert on all things important has decided he knows more transgender science than everyone else.

What was his field of expertise again?

Regardless of all the scientists around the world that understand the difference between XX and XY chromosomes, NDT had to raise his voice and call those who oppose his position “completely ridiculous.”

In the above referenced podcast, Tyson took a very unscientific view in that because women wear makeup, that somehow proves that we constantly alter our “gender spectrum.”

And he is a scientist?

The truth is that he is really only about supporting divisive progressive politics. He is not being a scientist. He even throws the race card every chance he gets, as he did in the above podcast:

“We’re in a transitional period. So we have to figure that out. But the way to figure out things that require solutions to progressive change is not to regress it to how things once were. If that were the case, I would still be drinking from a segregated water fountain,” Tyson replied, throwing the race card.

A transitional period? Is that settled science? It sounds a bit like the science is always evolving. Hmmm…

Remember what he has been saying: The good thing about Science is that it’s true, whether or not you believe in it.

If the science is not always evolving, then he apparently does not believe the science he was taught in school.

If the science is always true, then it was true while he was in school being taught the differences between XX and XY. If it was not true then, how is the science always true now?

Then again, maybe he just wants to compete against women in sports so he can actually win?
