A Bipartisan Solution to Porn in the Library

by Shari Dovale

There is much debate among residents concerning the nationwide push for pornography in the public libraries. The Left wants to include it, the Right wants it banned. But there is a ‘bipartisan’ solution.

This is happening all over the country, and very vocally in the northern-most county in very conservative Idaho. Boundary County residents have initiated a recall of 4 of the 5 Library trustees that voted to allow all pornography to be included in the system and available to children.

The list of pornography includes smut, such as graphic depictions of naked children (which is illegal for anyone to view), children performing sex acts, genitals, etc. Some examples are:

  • Gender Queer by Mai Kobabe (graphic photos)
  • It’s Perfectly Normal by Harris and Emberley (graphic photos)
  • Let’s Talk about It by Noland (very very graphic ) available for 13-14 yr olds.
  • Dreaming in Cuban by Christina Garcia (graphic language)
  • …many more

The Radical Left claims that “a few images of LGBTQ sexual experiences” is perfectly okay, and that Christians are the problem. The Right calls it smut, offensive and pornographic.

Some call it “Adult Entertainment” This is covered by zoning ordinances that are available to every county and jurisdiction.

Which brings us to the solution that should be acceptable to both sides. How about a section in the library that is devoted to adult-only content? This would allow all folks on the Left that want these books to be available to families to go to the library and check them out, take them home and share with their children. It also solves the issue that the Right wants, for the books to not be available to anyone under the age of 18.

The section could be a separate room in which it is mandatory to verify age before entry. This would keep children from accessing the room, yet allow all adults in there that want to read these books, or penthouse forum, or the Satanic Bible, or other X-rated materials.

This is not a new concept. Libraries have historically set aside space for age-appropriate materials, like children’s storytime rooms, or teenage rooms. Why should this be any different?  The only folks that might object to this would be “groomers” that really… REALLY… want children to be indoctrinated against their natural instincts.

Let’s do this!

  1. Something like this has been suggested at my library system. The majority of the trustees and librarians are very opposed to moving the harmful materials out of the kids sections. I can only fathom that it is because they wish for innocent children to stumble upon it and why the smut is disproportionately featured in the display areas at children’s eyeball level.

    • Here’s a solution for all these library board pedophiles; how about publish ALL their names and home addresses publicly and let “nature” take it’s course!!

  2. How about no public (gov’t) funded libraries? Let libraries be privately managed with money from people who wish to support them?

    • The best solution.

I am reading this with absolute horror. I have been to libraries all over the world…and they were sanctuaries and places of learning.

Am I am not a prude. I have been to beaucoup museums with naked paintings when I was a kid…and Europe is chock full of naked statues…and my Pop walked around the house buck naked until I was six…and I grew up in Military Base gymnasiums and showered with full grown men when I was a kid.

But this…NO…I say…putting this type of rank perversion in a Public Library…NO WAY. That is exactly what it is…a delight in Perversion.

If this be true…this is about pushing my red line…something I WILL NOT CONDONE.

Not to mention this drivel will further take precedence over Aristotle, Adam Smith, Rousseau, Franklin, Plato, Socrates, Bastiat, Spooner, Crozier, de Tocquville.
