The legal definition of “LIFE” from Blackstone’s Commentaries

by John D. Guandolo

Those hostile to liberty have flushed the truth about America’s founding principles out of American schools, and citizens allowed it. This is why the vast majority of Americans have little understanding of the bedrock upon which U.S. law and government rest.

The Founding Fathers understood the self-evident truth that all human beings are created by God and born with unalienable rights which no man nor government can take away from them. The Founders then created a system of government whose primary role was to defend a person’s God-given rights.

The Declaration of Independence is a legal document which separated “The United States of America” from the British Crown. In it, “The Law of Nature and of Nature’s God” are identified as the foundations of our Constitutional Republic.

In the primary law book used by America’s founders, Blackstone’s Commentaries, “The Law of Nature” and “The Law of Nature’s God” are legally defined as God’s will as he reveals it through his creation and Holy Scripture, respectively.

Blackstone’s Commentaries goes on to say that no law can be legislated that violates these two principles. This is the moral standard for our Republic.

As UTT has previously documented, all law is not just by the mere fact a legislature has passed it. It must adhere to the moral standard to be “Constitutional.”

When a nation allows the murder of over 60 million of its most innocent citizens, it openly fails to defend life – a Gift from God – while surrendering the very bedrock upon which our nation rests.

This, therefore, threatens directly and indirectly the safety and security of our families, our communities, and our nation.

Putting aside the practical impact that losing 60 million workers, soldiers, fathers and mothers, scientists, and others who would have contributed to the success our nation has had, the grave moral evil of allowing, supporting, and, in many cases today, celebrating the murder of truly innocent citizens is despicable.

But it is more than just that.

Abortion, the murder of innocent life, undermines our legal principle of equal protection under the law (14th Amendment), the defense of all life as articulated in the Declaration, and the principles and Articles in the U.S. Constitution.

Moreover, the killing of innocent people undermines the foundation of our liberty and freedoms and makes those supporting abortions advocates of the destruction of the Republic.
