What Happens If We Accept Vaccine Mandates in Schools?

Actions such as these will lead to an eventual abolition of all freedoms

What Happens If We Accept Vaccine Mandates in Schools?

As part of a homeschool civics class comprised of students in the 7th through 10th grade levels, students were asked to write opinion editorials on topics of their own choosing which reflect current themes in governance and policy-making.  Over the course of the next few weeks the class will be tracking the views of and commentary on their op-eds with the goal of generating as much meaningful community engagement as possible.  A prize will be awarded to the student who is most successful at generating meaningful community engagement with their op-ed. Thanks so much for partnering with us to create this experience for the children and teaching them to be actively involved in the governance of their community!

What Happens If We Accept Vaccine Mandates in Schools?

by HSC06

We live in contentious times. Controversies and arguments abound, many surrounding our political discourse. Of these arguments one of the most controversial currently swirls around mask and vaccine mandates. These arguments go back and forth, ending in anger and distrust, even amongst friends. Vaccine mandates are being considered for school attendance, and already vaccine mandates are being implemented by many companies with over 100 workers. These actions came about as a result of Joe Biden’s unprecedented announcement that companies with unvaccinated employees would be subject to workplace fines. The impact of these mandates are severe, and countless jobs and relationships are already being lost. Though the student vaccine mandate might seem insignificant, especially to homeschoolers, a mandate for an experimental vaccine represents an egregious assault on personal liberty.

As an example, at the Mayor’s Round Table meeting on September 1st, mayor Shelbey Rognstad said that he wanted to model Sandpoint after Aspen, Colorado. A cursory search of the City of Aspen’s official website reveals that Aspen is considering mandatory vaccinations. And already in California there are vaccine mandates for children attending private or public school. This is disastrous, and already parents are pulling their children from public schools. In this case a question arises. Are vaccine mandates in schools reasonable? Many would say yes, and that it would be a student’s and parents duty to protect themselves and others. However, these mandates are irresponsible and dangerous. Children have died or been injured already from vaccines, such as a 13 year old boy in Saginaw Michigan, who died after receiving his 1st shot, and a 12 year old girl, Maddie De Garay, who is confined to a wheelchair and lost the majority of her motor function after receiving the second Pfizer vaccine. Unfortunately, it’s likely that more incidents like these have occurred as there is evidence that adverse vaccine events are being underreported by public health officials.

Not only are the vaccines damaging, but forcing children to wear masks is damaging as well. Mentally, children are suffering. Depression is on the rise, and so is suicide. The worst is that many elected officials, (especially those on school and health boards who are supposed to be protecting our children) are actually voting for these mandates. Many of these elected officials say one thing but vote another way. These miniature dictators readily trample freedom that belongs to individuals. To make matters worse, while school board members can be voted out of office, the health district members are appointed. This means that they cannot be voted out, and will continue to make disastrous decisions for North Idaho. These decisions may be sold to the public as helping protect the greater good, but actions such as these will lead to an eventual abolition of all freedoms. And they’re starting with where you are most vulnerable: your children.

Fortunately there are things you can do to attempt to stop these tyrants. Attend local meetings, know who you’re voting for, learn more about political structure and get in contact with other like minded individuals. Idaho is becoming a target as real estate developers, healthcare companies, big pharma and leftist agitators plant those who want these restrictions imposed on us by means of advertisement and political action. These people will not stop at vaccines and masks, and eventually they will destroy North Idaho, and memories of this beautiful, free state will eventually be consumed by the fire of tyranny.

  1. Indeed, vaccine should not be forced on people, it should be a choice. Thank you for sharing your view on this time of turmoil. I have heard both sides on the issue and I think people should just let each other make their own decisions and not force something on someone that have the risk of injuring or killing them especially without the proof that there is truly one virus called covid (it hasn’t been isolated) instead of the annual flu viruses.

  2. Well written article. Glad to see the younger generation taking a stand. Mandating a new vaccine that has not been gone through thorough testing is risky enough, but this is no ordinary vaccine. This is a new gene therapy…. Experimental, and with too many adverse events and death. That being said, the minute we give up our bodily autonomy, we lose our freedom.

  3. Enjoyed hearing the opinion of a high school student on this matter. I’d be very interested to see how high schoolers nationwide feel about this matter.

  4. Very good article with supporting information. It is too soon to start vaccinating our children when we see they are negative side effects to both children and grownups. Some legislators have bought into the idea that it is safe and others are probably afraid of the mob that would shout them down so they cave to the pressure vice what they really believe. The silent majority needs to have their voice heard when it comes time to vote.

  5. This is such a well written article. Rushing into mandating this vaccine is dangerous territory as you so eloquently pointed out. When the freedom to choose is taken away, it is certainly a slippery slope for citizens to start losing more and more of our freedoms. Well written!

  6. Good job on the article. If the shot that the pro-vaxers are promoting is so good they should feel protected and not feel the need to impose their wishes on us that don’t want the shot. I would rather trust the immunity system that God have me than a poisonous man-made concotion.

  7. I think this is a great article and really highlights a turning point in our country. The government should not be mandating anything that goes into your body and can potentially have harmful effects. Standing firm here is imperative if we are to maintain any semblance of freedom to make our own choices going forward.

  8. This is an excellent article. It captures our current state of affairs and urges us to do our part to preserve our freedoms. Please continue the important work of speaking out about such important matters!

  9. Great article! The overreaction to COVID has impacted an entire generation with fear and isolation. A mandate to inject something into their arm is just a whole new level of that. I hope these overreaches cause people to finally wake up and say no.

  10. I’m not opposed to some vaccines being mandated, but viruses like flu and covid are rapidly mutating..they won’t be fully vaccinated away like say smallpox.

    • If we don’t hold the line here, we’ll be opening a door for the government to take away all liberties. And if we don’t have bodily liberty, what liberty do we have left?

  11. Very important and timely article. As a medical professional I am very concerned that the government is fast-tracking development of vaccines and mandating vaccination protocols they could not possibly have had time to develop using randomized double-blind studies. Unless, that is, they were aware the disease was coming. But that is a separate issue.

  12. Very well written, HSC06! Let me know when you’re running for office, and I’ll vote for you. I agree with everything you said, and would like to emphasize your point that people need to take action: get involved, know who you’re voting for. Until Americans get their lazy bottoms off their couches and work to improve their communities, nothing will change. Thank you for the article.

  13. Very well written article addressing a delicate problem which has caused such enormous controversy. The writer is to the point, stating facts and offering suggestions how to deal with this and what needs to be done in order to keep our freedom and not fall under a regime which strips us from the few remaining human rights we still possess

  14. The article is to the point and needs to be shared. Mandatory mask requirement are destroying our freedom to make choices, which is not the America I was raised in. The Biden administration has destroyed our country in 10 months with kind of dictates and the open border policy.

  15. I really enjoyed reading your article and agree with you!!
How can we be forced to put something in our body?! It’s important to question the government and don’t „run with the herd“!!
    This is not freedom!!
Especially the young generation (everyone should!!) needs to look behind the scenes and understand what’s going on here and don’t just follow the footsteps….
    I am proud of you!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

    • What a wonderful, well thought out article. I appreciate all the time and truth you shared. We someone who was very sick after one vaccine (and couldn’t take the second) I worry about what would be put in our bodies. I also have a brother who was hospitalized after his. I appreciate your thoughts on depression as well.

      • I’m sorry to hear that you and a family member had a bad reaction to the vaccine. Thank you so much for speaking out and letting others know the dangers of the “vaccine”.

  16. I enjoyed this article, it’s straight shooting about a very touchy subject in the world today! Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but we sure don’t need the government mandating a vaccine to the world, that they themselves are exempt from! We should ask ourselves why, why are they exempt from the vaccine….makes you wonder!

  17. I agree that the government imposing mask/vaccine mandates is grossly overstepping its authority. My school has a mask mandate not a vaccine mandate which I unfortunately have to say is their right as a private institution but its definitely motivated by government pressure.

  18. Great article! The negative impact of both mask and vaccine mandates is serious and it takes patriots to stand up and speak out against this level of tyrannical leadership the American public is currently enduring. These shots have not undergone long-term studies and forcing children to participate in this experiment is criminal.

  19. Insightful article. Nice job. This is America. We are a free people. No tyrant, big or small, has the right to coerce us into taking medication (experimental, or otherwise). The entirety of this folly violates the Nuremberg code.

  20. The article was very well written. I don’t live in Idaho, but I believe mandates are wrong. What we do with our bodies and our children’s bodies is personal choice.

  21. Great article! I hope and pray that freedom loving people will wake up, stand up and do something! We have to become involved and make sure things don’t change in this state. Lots of us came here to enjoy the freedom we know is here but it’s our responsibility to make sure we fight to keep what we came to enjoy. Know who is running for your local government, get involved and make sure you vote! Things will NOT remain free here if we sit on our hands and do nothing. God Bless!

  22. So what are the actual duties of the Office of US President (found in the US Constitution, Article 2)? A US President has executive powers, executing laws, etc that are created by the US Legislature (those who actually are serving as a House Rep or Senator, not those who are assisting them in their duties per the US Constitution contract).

    Art. 2: The President shall be commander in chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the militia of the several states, WHEN CALLED INTO THE ACTUAL SERVICE of the United States;
he may require the opinion, in writing, of the principal officer in each of the executive departments, upon any subject relating to the duties of their respective offices, and he shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.

He shall have power, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by law: but the Congress may by law vest the appointment of such inferior officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the courts of law, or in the heads of departments.

The President shall have power to fill up all vacancies that may happen during the recess of the Senate, by granting commissions which shall expire at the end of their next session.

    He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient;
    he may, on extraordinary occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in case of disagreement between them, with respect to the time of adjournment, he may adjourn them to such time as he shall think proper; he shall receive ambassadors and other public ministers;
he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed, and shall commission all the officers of the United States.

That’s it. Not one thing about the health of the American people or of the authority to require them to be vaccinated. Pretty sure no one who serves within our government was delegated that authority.

  23. As a Mom of 4 kids, this article really hits home. It is outrageous even for the vaccines to be mandated in workplaces, but it would be disastrous for this to be forced upon our kids. We should, as parents, be able to make the decision for our children and ourselves, without being coerced into something we don’t feel is right for us. Thanks for writing this thought provoking article!

  24. This article is straight to the point regarding vaccine mandates in schools or anywhere else, as far as that goes. If we the people don’t stand up to our Government, then who will? We will be doomed as a free country. Very well written. Thank you for standing up for your rights!

  25. Well written article. Compelling arguments and you definitely give your reader something to think about long after they walk away from the website. Thank you for researching this important topic.

  26. Apparently, according to the leftists, “my body my choice” only applies if you’re murdering your own child…

The author is correct. If the line isn’t drawn here and now there will be no end to this tyranny.

  27. I appreciate your stand and speaking out on this important subject. Knowing who to vote for is huge and local elections vital. Thanks for encouraging us to stand against this mandate.

  28. Good article! The masks and vaccine mandates remind me of C.S. Lewis quote “Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience…….”

    • It’s one thing to mandate vaccines to attend school for vaccines that have been thoroughly tested and shown to have efficacy against the disease. This vaccine has not been thoroughly tested and has not shown to have efficacy. In fact, its proven itself to be harmful at a much higher rate than any other vaccine that has been required for school attendance.

      • The article written by HSC06 is exactly on point. It’s amazing that we live in a time that we as a society seems to forget the words of Thomas Jefferson, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”. 30 years ago this wouldn’t be a touchy subject. Everyone should be involved and informed on who is there local representatives are and where they stand. Thank you HSC06 for your very important article.

    • Fair question, but isn’t that putting the cart before the horse? Also, I think we would need to define what a vaccine is and isn’t, esp. considering the government has recently felt compelled to change its definition.

  29. The article regarding vaccine mandates in schools is straight to the point. I enjoyed reading it and agree wholeheartedly that to impose mandates will destroy our freedom of choice. Good job!!

  30. The article (HSC06) addresses good points, as to the position of opposing mandates, for vaccinations against COVID-19.
The most important issue to glean from the article, I believe is that of becoming involved at the community level by participating in local meetings and holding “officials” representing their areas, accountable for policies affecting local families. There are no substitutes for this action, period.
