Wheeler Announces Reelection Campaign For Sheriff

by Shari Dovale

Sheriff Daryl Wheeler officially filed his declaration of candidacy for Sheriff in Bonner County today. He is running for his fourth term.

Wheeler has been prominent in several Constitutional issues throughout his multiple terms in office and has been unafraid to tackle the complicated topics that others may have sidestepped.

Festival at Sandpoint: Wheeler has asked the courts to declare whether the gun ban violates Idaho law, so that all law enforcement can effectively coordinate to ensure public safety.

Protecting Citizen’s Rights: One of multiple examples showing Wheeler believes in standing for the citizen was during the “This Vet is Not a Threat” rally in Priest River, 2015, to ensure John Arnold was not deprived of his Constitutionally-guaranteed rights.

New Laws: He has been available to the citizens on numerous occasions to explain the laws, and how the citizens are affected by these new laws.

Sheriff Wheeler said, “It has been a pleasure to serve the citizens of Bonner County for the last eleven years. As I announce my run for re-election, I seek your continued support and would be honored to serve you for another four years.”

Wheeler’s campaign website will be active in a few days so you can contact him with your questions. wheeler4sheriff.com
