Jacobson Running for Kootenai County Commissioner

She is running to restore confidence and integrity in the office and break the cycle of repeat establishment candidates. She will be a strong commissioner willing to give the people a voice.”
I am campaigning to represent Kootenai County District 2 as Commissioner because it is time for Kootenai residents to have a voice that represents the people. Rather than sit around the kitchen table and complain about rising taxes, I want to be the commissioner who represents the people–without any conflicts of interest, without ties to special interests, without any sort of personal agenda.
I am happily married to a Bronze Star veteran who shares in my faith and values. We are both third generation Kootenai County residents. During grade school and High School, I lived in Hayden Lake. After I graduated from CdA High School, I went south to further my education. While in Southern Idaho, I owned and operated a successful home-based business for 18 years. This afforded me many opportunities, none more important than being home to parent my children. I have two successful responsible children as a result.
After raising my children, I decided to go back to school. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Boise State University. At this point, I was still juggling many aspects life including being a wife, mother, business owner and pre-med biology student. This gave me a great perspective on priorities and a new skill set to tackle all elements of what was put in front of me, such as the ability to successfully multi-task in demanding endeavors and implement a common sense approach to the issues at hand. In 1997, I decided to head even farther south after being accepted into the Physician Assistant Program at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. Completing this program, lead to a very rewarding career as a Physician Assistant for the next 20 years.
During this time I felt the calling to be involved and serve my fellow citizens, so in 2004 I campaigned for and was elected to represent my precinct as a Republican precinct committeemen in Phoenix, AZ. As I do with everything, I threw myself into this role and worked hard to represent the people and helped get strong liberty candidates elected.
I have remained an active citizen and my passion to serve has not dwindled. I have been studying the role of commissioner and have spent time with several past commissioners, but more importantly I have spent time with the residents of Kootenai County. I am more than prepared for this new role to serve the citizens of Kootenai County. I am ready and willing to put in the time, effort and neurons to do what is in the best tax-saving interest for the constituents of Kootenai County. Again, without no outside influence, personal gain or agenda.
Having changed careers mid-life and achieving success in the medical field, I feel confident that I can apply my knowledge, work ethic, education, and past business experience to responsibly serve the residents of Kootenai County as District 2 Commissioner.
It is clear that the people of Kootenai County want a new approach. Elizabeth Jacobson humbly asks the people of Kootenai County for the opportunity to serve them with bold leadership, with a strategy of working together to advance the interests of all the citizens of Kootenai County by implementing responsible common sense governance. We can do better.
