My First Legislative Update of the 2020 Session
Topics covered in the video:
Due Process
If any government agency labels someone a criminal, there needs to be due process involved, including with yours truly.
Taxes
We’re supposed to have $30 car tabs. We currently charge a sales tax on transportation projects, when that money could stay in the transportation budget for both the Puget Sound and Eastern Washington.
Gun Control
There’s a push to ban magazines that hold over 10 rounds, to pass red flag laws, and to prevent people for fighting for their arms in court. These laws clearly violate both the United States Constitution and the Washington State Constitution.
What Can I Do?
The best thing you can do is to come to Olympia and express your opinions to the Legislators here.
Sincerely,
Matt Shea
State Representative (4th L.D.)
