Chapel Hill Officer Gains 3% Support

The Extreme Alt-Left, also known as “anarchist extremists”, recently held a mob-rule rally in North Carolina, called the “Silent Sam” rally, in which a statue that had been on display for 105 years was brutally, and illegally, destroyed.
The Alt-Left has made themselves the headlines around the country with the rise of “Antifa”, known for hiding behind masks and leaving destruction in their path.
Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as “antifa” had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous, so much so that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified their activities as “domestic terrorist violence,” according to interviews and confidential law enforcement documents obtained by POLITICO.
Chapel Hill Police were on standby near the scene in preparation for the extremists rally on August 20th.
However, the narrative quickly turned from that of the violent protesters to a police officer that was photographed with a tattoo on his forearm. The tattoo resembles that of the organization called “3 Percenters” in which the roman numeral 3 is surrounded by stars. The officer also has a tattoo that reads “We The People” in reference to the preamble to the U.S. Constitution.
The photo was posted on twitter by Daniel Hosterman, a Durham photographer that supports the alt-left narrative:
Instead of talking about the illegal destruction of the statue, and the mob-rule behind it, the discussion was immediately changed to Officer Cole Daniels. We have been told that the Chapel Hill Police Department has been inundated with calls from the left demanding this man to be fired, just for showing the tattoo.
Though left-leaning enthusiasts claim that body modifications should not be discriminated against, they clearly have no problem discriminating against this officer’s tattoo.

The 3 percent organization is a Constitutionally-based group of people from all walks of life. Their membership includes law enforcement, military, teachers, plumbers, home makers, and more. From their national website:
We are NOT anti-government. In fact, we are very pro-government, so long as the government abides by the Constitution, doesn’t overstep its bounds, and remains “for the people and by the people”.
The narrative of anti-government, racial charged, extremists is being promoted by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and groups like them. The SPLC is a known left-wing, hate-driven, money maker.
National Review tells us, “The purported fact-finding group is in fact a machine for turning leftist hysteria into cash.” and “Its core mission now is trying to marginalize and shut up even mildly right-of-center voices by calling them instruments of hate, making increasingly strained attempts to tie conservative commentators, authors, political figures, and professors to the alt-right or neo-Nazism.”
John Stossel says that, “The Southern Poverty Law Center is a money-grabbing slander machine” and that he suspects “SPLC labels lots of groups “haters” because crying “hate” brings in money.”
Reason.com calls them a “Scam”
The Washington Post agrees that they have lost all credibility after A former Islamic radical named Maajid Nawaz sued the center for including him in its bogus “Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists.” The SPLC agreed to pay him a $3.375 million settlement and issued a public apology.
And the list goes on…
The truth is that the main stream media does not want to hear about “the good guys”. The folks that love and respect the founding documents of the country. The people that teach their children how this country was started and what a Constitutional Republic is all about.
And the 3 Percent fit into the “good guy” category.
There are statewide groups of 3% that fall under the National umbrella. One such group is the Idaho 3%, headed up by Eric Parker.
Parker tells me that his group, after witnessing the events surrounding Officer Daniels, has tried to reach out to the officer.
“What bothers me is that we all want our law enforcement to act Constitutional and do the right thing,” Parker says. “Here is a man that obviously considers himself constitutionally minded. Not to rally around him would be a shortcoming in our movement.”
After witnessing the events online and through the media, the Idaho 3% group contacted the Chapel Hill police department. They asked their questions and received answers:
- Yes, Cole Daniels is on paid administrative leave.
- Yes, he is a Marine.
- Yes, they have had numerous complaints about his tattoo being an anti-government hate symbol
They were also told that Officer Daniels received an award for helping save several lives after going into a burning apartment building repeatedly to rescue people.
Chapel Hill PD has been dealing with a small group of people that have demanded action against this officer. They are not happy about having to appease this small group, but they also felt it was necessary to calm the situation down.
The phone call also generated some ideas for the public. Consider contacting Chief Blue directly to let him know how you feel about this situation. He would probably appreciate the support as the negativity has greatly affected their department.
The person on the phone (who was not identified to me) kept stressing to get people to express all of these positive things to Chief Blue. If you choose to write, please be professional and courteous in your correspondence.
