America’s Spending Is Leading To Its Self Destruction

By Christian Schwab

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has warned the American government’s present spending course will reach 123% GDP within 10 years. Republicans talk a lot about it during election year speeches but in the end vote to increase spending and pushing it onto the national debt. As history has shown over and over again, cut one program then build another with both underfunded. The Democrats increase the use of the Republican implemented programs, increase taxation, and don’t care if there’s waste as long as it’s helping 1 person.

Neither party takes the responsibility for the many problems plaguing our Country. Problems ranging from our money running out for Healthcare (even though we spend more then any other Country), problems funding our military and veterans (even though we spend more then the other top 3 Countries combined), or problems in our education system (even though we pay billions for Administrators to find a way to make it affordable).

If one is a socialist like the LA Times, it’s blamed on the President’s tax cuts. They, like most Democrats, believe we can tax our way to pay off an uncontrollable national debt. However, historically when tax levels reach over 17% of peoples take home pay their party loses Congress. The Republicans aren’t any better. Instead of implementing the cuts promised in the elections, they give into the Democrats and spend with no clear plan to pay it back.

In the past “We the People” stood up for our future by the millions to curb a lot of the spending. But the next generation is stricken by their desires for a better today while waiting till tomorrow and are willing to stay in perpetual debt to have it. Where will the push back come from? From those receiving free food? From those receiving free healthcare?  From those receiving subsidies?

We need to elect people who understand cutting is as important in today’s America than anytime after World War II. We need to get away from socialized education and teach aspects to get a real job, and parents need to step up and be the adults!

  1. Good article based on righteous indignation. The situation is much worse though; in order to obtain a patriotic correction the populace at large have to have accurate stable values.

18 U.S. Code § 8 – Obligation or other security of the United States defined
    https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/USCODE-2011-title18/html/USCODE-2011-title18-partI-chap1-sec8.htm

The term “obligation or other security of the United States” includes all bonds, certificates of indebtedness, national bank currency, Federal Reserve notes, Federal Reserve bank notes, coupons, United States notes, Treasury notes, gold certificates, silver certificates, fractional notes, certificates of deposit, bills, checks, or drafts for money, drawn by or upon authorized officers of the United States, stamps and other representatives of value, of whatever denomination, issued under any Act of Congress, and canceled United States stamps.

    Historical and Revision Notes
Words “Federal Reserve notes, Federal Reserve bank notes” were inserted before “coupons” because such notes have almost supplanted national bank currency.

“Money” is a positive term; Federal Reserve Notes is a negative term due to the Statutory explanation above that the FRN is a US “obligation”. Everyone has heard the terms “fiat” and “debt based” bandied about…well, it is not a conspiracy…it is codified right there in the U.S. Statutes.

Communist Plank #5. Centralization of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.

Our monetary system has been swiped away; the Communist’s “centralization of credit” equating with an entire monetary system based on “obligations”; it will be hard to achieve a patriotic correction on spending when the vast majority of the populace don’t know they have been snookered. Spending won’t be reined in since we can give ourselves credit and promise promise promise (e.g. Obligate) off into the future.
