Buying Friends:
Idaho Swamp-Masters Endorse Favorite
Candidates With Financial Support
by Sue Dawson
Progressive Idaho Speaker of the House Scott Bedke and Majority Leader Mike Moyle receive thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from special interest lobby groups—a convenient way to make sure their pet legislation passes next year.
In turn, Bedke and Moyle then use that money to buy friends to vote for them in the upcoming leadership elections that will happen later this year.
This year their contributions are going to like-minded progressive candidates who are being opposed in their races by strong conservatives. Is the progressive establishment worried?
Below is the list of swamp endorsements taken directly from Bedke’s and Moyle’s financial disclosure reports posted on the Secretary of State’s website. Following the money reveals the political fight in Idaho: the establishment verses the people. Voters beware.
