On March 14th , in response to the murders of 17 people at a Parkland, Florida High School activists from former Nazi conspirator George Soros to a platoon of Hollywood celebrities funded and coordinated a nationwide walkout demonstration of adolescent students. While this event was promoted by the downstream media as an ambiguous and superficially spontaneous demonstration to urge congress to do something to improve school safety, it really had two main objectives.

Anti-2nd Amendment activism

While the walk out took on various expressed themes, the underlying purpose is best described by Chicago Mayor and former Obama Cabinet member who said, “Never let a crisis go to waste”.

True to form, the democrat/media leadership immediately jumped on this opportunity to rev up their never-ending effort to repeal the 2nd Amendment. As is typical with all leftist efforts, the real goal is never revealed. Thus, this exploitation of children was publicized alternatively as a demonstration to demand simple restrictions on gun purchases and classifications and/or a 17-minute moment of silence to memorialize the lives lost in Parkland, Florida.

Nowhere was the incompetence of the FBI, local authorities, Parkland PD or school officials mentioned or explored. But, the misuse of rifle descriptions, distortions of the gun purchasing process and terms such as “high speed magazines” or “automatic assault weapons” have been prevalent in every media report.

Although the hidden goal pursued through this liberal agenda is certainly the abolition of the 2nd Amendment, it is more sinister than most people realize. Let us not forget that the never-ending quest of the political left and their media is the complete destruction of American freedom through total government domination over our lives. It’s a hard thing to admit and come to terms with, but it’s a reality that removing the 2nd Amendment is a prelude to destroying the 1st.

Exploitation of youth and gullibility

Although one of the goals of either political party is the recruitment of new voters, their strategies are quite different. The basis of the theme of leftist/socialist indoctrination is built primarily upon jealousy and resentment. But where that is not fully effective, victimhood is the default choice. The tools for implementing both tactics are low information and gullibility. March 14th was no exception.

In conjunction with Planned Parenthood an organization called womensmarch.com was the major organizer of the event. Their website showed a map of participating schools that indicated every American state was involved. Participation and coordination in public schools proved widespread influence delivered by the teachers’ unions and the NEA in their obedience to Rahm Emanuel’s admonition. What they produced was a politically organized media event that in spite of its publicized purpose was little more than a slickly packaged and cleverly coordinated democrat party voter registration drive.

There are probably no accurate counts of how many students participated, but it is fair to assume that the condoning of the walkout by their teachers and school administrations has made a lasting impression on their young minds. Being given permission to leave class and join others in the streets to carry professionally produced signs, enjoy the freedom to yell obscenities in public and maybe even throw some stuff or burn the flag is something not soon forgotten. It imprints the euphoria of civil disobedience and public expression of social discontent.

Although it has been shown that a strong majority of the student participants can’t articulate why they were there, it is a good bet that at least 3 out of 4 can be counted on to register and vote as democrats in the 2020 election. Along with them will probably come a significant number of friends recruited through peer pressure along with a fair number of previously agnostic or independent adult relatives.

Seeking no definition of purpose or truth to guide their convictions, they will head to the polls armed with liberal media talking points and the belief that thousands of students are being shot every day and it’s all because of Donald Trump and the NRA.

Note: At the time of this printing, another walkout is already being planned and funded in pursuit of the goals stated above.

  1. They are indeed being trained. Prescient observation.

It is hard not to make light of it from the kids point of view…since as a Senior in High School I had Ag. Mechanics three classes a day and Gym twice a day and still would have been up for a good opportunity to sluff…but is it a serious subject.

The teachers and school admin should know and act better. Sometimes you have maintain a firm grip on the rudder and sail through rough seas…the hard issues of life do not stop just because you stop and engage in protests.

All in all, it might be time just to do away with government public schools. Shut them down. With the internet, private schools, instruction manuals and caring adults kids can learn what they want when they want without being forced to march lock-step. People are curious and generally want to learn.

There is an idea…when they all walk out…chain the doors and keep them out.

    • In the director’s interviews at the end of the video “Innocents Betrayed” one of them mentions Federalist Paper #46 where this is found:

“Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. And it is not certain, that with this aid alone they would not be able to shake off their yokes.”

Guns in the hands of the citizenry keeps government from yoking us like beasts of burden; and maybe it is time to think of forced schooling as a yoke.
