  1. 05:18 Ms. Ahrens, when asked how Donald Trump is doing as our President, stated that “President Trump is doing a great job, everything is going well, but he is having a few problems understanding the Constitution..a few of the things he is saying shows that he is not in complete understanding of it.” When asked to give an example she said “he is talking about raising the age limit to 21 for the guns, and the bump stocks and different things…rights shall not be infringed, so that’s very concerning to me and a lot of other people I’ve talked to…that he is doing that.”

06:14 When asked how she would approach these matters in the State of Idaho e.g. bump stocks, raising the age to 21? Ms. Ahrens stated “No infringement, period, none! I’ve worked very closely with Greg Pruitt of the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance and I am a lifetime member of the NRA.”

09:05 Ms. Ahrens was asked by CPT Alexander of the US Militia, that one of the things that kind of concerns me being a Captain of a Militia, and this has been brought to my attention several times by outside people, they are trying to pass these laws now where you can say pretty much say, well that person needs a welfare check…so they could possibly be a threat! Okay, so what that means basically is in those kinds of laws they are trying to pass is that, basically, anyone who is Militia is considered a threat! Basically, is what I’m getting at, if you know what I mean? Ms. Ahrens responded “Yes.” CPT Alexander then asked her what would you do to protect Idaho, the Militia, the 3%ers, the citizens of Idaho period? What would you do to protect us and our rights here in Idaho? Ms. Ahrens responded that “Well, what they are trying to do now, is put all these parameters, you shouldn’t have a weapon…because of this…and this…and this…and who is making those decisions? And who is deciding who is mentally ill, and deciding who is a threat? That is extremely concerning! Because it is one more way of impinging away our Second Amendment rights! So I would not sign any legislation for that!”

It is clear from this interview that neither CPT Alexander nor Ms. Ahrens understand the Second Amendment, especially the first clause that details “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State…” They also do not understand that according to the Idaho State Constitution the unorganized Militia are already “protected” and therefore, there is no need for Militia “protection!” What is needed is the revitalization of the original Militia of the several States (from our Founders’) as is currently listed in the first clause of the Second Amendment. This can be done legislatively by Idaho State statute, something that Ms. Ahrens should have known!

Neither CPT Alexander or Ms. Ahrens seemed to know or even be aware that the first clause of the Second Amendment was destroyed at the turn of the 20th century by an agreement between the Congress and the States by way of the Militia Act of 1903 and the National Security Act of 1916. Whereby, the Militia of the several States as envisioned, legislated, and enshrined by our Founders is NOT the militia that we have today, even in Idaho! The true Founders’ Militia of the several States was replaced by the National Guard, and the unorganized and organized militia, even in Idaho. Neither of them seem to be knowledgeable about the first clause of the Second Amendment! And the National Guard is NOT a militia!

CPT Alexander stated that he is the Captain of the US Militia here in Idaho, which is fine, but according to the Idaho State Constitution the US Militia, Idaho III%, the Light Foot Militia, are all legislated as unorganized Militias in the eyes of the law. “Unorganized” being the operative word, because the Idaho Constitution leaves the unorganized Militia completely unorganized, unarmed, undisciplined, and ungoverned by the State…and all of these functions are supposed to be the responsibility of, first and foremost Congress, and if Congress fails to organize, arm, discipline, and govern the unorganized Militia, then it falls on the State of Idaho to do this…this is assuming we still had a true Militia of the several States as per the first clause of the Second Amendment – which we do not!

I would suggest, based on her responses, that it is Ms. Ahrens, not President Trump, who is having a few problems understanding the Constitution…and she certainly does not know anything about the first clause of the Second Amendment. Ms. Ahrens proudly claims to have worked very closely with the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance, but if you were to go to the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance website right now you will not find a single word, article, or mission statement bullet point that even mentions the first clause of the Militia of the several States or how it was destroyed at the turn of the 20th century,..same for the NRA, they do not even care about the missing first clause – both organizations that Ms. Ahrens cited only focus on the second clause. I have written to the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance and the NRA multiple times each on this very first clause of the Second Amendment point and have not even received a response from either organization. So for Ms. Ahrens to say she is a lifetime member of the NRA and has worked very closely with the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance does not really mean very much in terms of her knowledge of the Second Amendment…especially the destroyed first clause!
