Nichols for House Seat 11 B
Native Idahoan and local small business owner Tammy Nichols has announced her candidacy for Idaho Legislative House Seat B in District 11.
Nichols is a graduate from Brigham Young University-Idaho with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. She runs a small property management company, as well as specializes in promotions and sales. She and her husband Jamie have been married for 22 years, and together have 5 children. They reside in the Middleton/Caldwell area and operate a small hobby farm.
Concerned with the tax and spend mentality of Canyon County law-makers as well as other law-makers in the State of Idaho, Nichols would like to see more money left in the pockets of all Idahoans. This can be done by reducing taxes, ending wasteful spending, and contributing new ideas to resolve Idaho’s problems. Some of these issues include improving quality education and healthcare, promoting local businesses and agriculture, and severely limit government intrusion in the lives of all Idahoans. She would also work to strengthen local control, and eliminate unnecessary laws and regulations.
“I am running for office to give the government back to the people and to provide them with a real voice” said Nichols. “We don’t need more of the same “establishment” thinking. We need to return to a constitutional and sensible government. We can create a better and brighter future for all the hard working families in Canyon County. Together we can accomplish great things! Government desperately needs leaders who are positive, honest, and who truly care about the people who elect them.”
Community and civic involvement is very important to Tammy Nichols. She currently volunteers on the Parent Advisory Committee for her local middle school, is the girl’s activity youth leader in her church, and is the irrigation water manager for her area.
Nichols currently serves as State Leader for the Phyllis Schlafly Eagles, Executive Director for Idaho Education Watch, and as a Canyon County Republican Committeeman for precinct 39. She also works with several local and national conservative organizations as a volunteer, and lends her knowledge, experience and expertise as a political researcher and advisor. She recently started contributing as a guest writer for Intermountain Christian News.
