Dan Rose Announces Run For Health District Trustee
Sandpoint, Idaho – Daniel Rose released the following statement supporting his candidacy to the Pend O’reille Hospital District, taxing district:
The current Board of Trustee’s, outside of medical backgrounds, is comprised primarily of corporate personalities. My candidacy for this position is to represent residents and patients of Bonner General Health’s medical services and not corporate and non-profit tax-exempt self-interests. The resident tax-payer and patient will have a voice at the Pend O’reille Hospital District in my Trustee representation.
I retired from state law enforcement in 2013, at that time certified as a First Responder and a rescue certified scuba-diver. My Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Investments from Babson College (MA), the nation’s perennial No. 1 entrepreneurial college, coupled with a Master Degree in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College (MA) and first responder, first line medical care experience would serve the Board and community interests in a complementary manner.
My current community participation includes; Veteran of Foreign Wars – SWA 91 and Officer of an affiliated local organization, Bonner County Election Poll Judge – Southside Precinct, Disabled Veteran’s voluntary van driver, Safety Peace Officers Retired To Sandpoint (SPORTS) member, Constitutional Sheriff Peace Officer Assoc. member, LPOSD substitute school bus driver and the Grouse Creek Republican Precinct Committeeman.
I’m a firm believer in the application of traditional and alternative forms of medical treatment. I support the “Repeal and Replacement” of Obama-care with sensitivity to certain aspects of legislative protections of both the patient and the provider. My capacity to reason is not limited. Until convinced otherwise, my votes are inherently aligned toward the doctor ~ patient relationship and tax-payer interest, not the medical bureaucracy.
I recognize the diversity of hospital services required in a compassionate community rich in recreational opportunities and a growing senior population here in Bonner County. My request is that you’ll extend to me your vote, showing support of my issue positions, as well as, understanding the complementary experiences that qualify me for this elected position.
