KCSO SEARCHING FOR MISSING COUPLE

**UPDATE: On 2/18/17 at approx. 8:25am, units from the KCSO Volunteer Search and Rescue, in coordination with the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center, located the missing couple inside their vehicle that had become stuck on an ice covered driveway in the area of Blue Creek Rd. and Newell Rd. Both John and Sylvia were in good condition. They had intermittently used their vehicle heater during the night, in addition to having blankets, food, and water with them in their vehicle. They were quickly reunited with their family members.

Coeur d’Alene, ID – Deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an elderly couple who were last known to be east of the City of Coeur d’Alene, ID.

John E. Mann 69 and Sylvia J. Mann 72, both from Condon, OR, were last known to be at the E. Mullan Trail Rd. exit from Interstate 90 just east of Coeur d’Alene at approximately 7pm on February 17th. 2017. They contacted their family members by telephone who live in the area and stated they were heading up the road on S. Blue Creek Rd. to meet the family. The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office was contacted when they did not show up to the residence.

Deputies along with search and rescue members have been searching throughout the night are currently still actively searching the area. Deputies ask residents who live in the area to check their driveways as it is a heavily wooded area and hard to see from the main roads.

The couple is believed to be driving a green 2002 Jeep Liberty with Oregon license plate 683GTE.
