Two Suspects Arrested in Kirk Homicide

Kootenai County, Idaho – Detectives release further details on arrest of homicide suspects.

Detectives from multiple agencies working in concert have arrested two suspects connected with the homicide of William “Bo” Kirk that occurred on October 22nd.

On October 28th, law enforcement personnel from the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force and the US Marshall’s Service, Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force tracked down and arrested David E. Hutto, 44 years old of Hayden, Idaho at a local eatery on Appleway Avenue in Coeur d’Alene. Hutto has been booked into the Kootenai Jail on 2nd degree murder charges.

The second suspect was arrested earlier in the day and is being held in federal custody on charges related to the homicide. The second individual’s identity and arrest information is not being released at this time.

Detectives also secured a search warrant for a residence in Hayden where Hutto was living, on Miles Avenue yesterday which took numerous hours to process and collect evidence. Contrary to information circulated outside law enforcement sources, there was no standoff situation at the Miles Avenue residence.

Local and federal agencies working on this investigation are confident that there are no other suspects outstanding.

Although numerous detectives from the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, Post Falls Police Department, Coeur d’Alene Police Department and the North Idaho Violent Crimes Task Force have been working jointly, at a nearly non-stop pace on this investigation – there is still a great deal of investigative work to be done.

Detectives are currently seeking to speak with possible witnesses reportedly driving a red car that were shooting in the Hayden Creek area on October 22nd around 7 pm – 8 pm. They are asked to contact the detective division of the Sheriff’s Office at (208)446-1300.
