State Representative Heather Scott has had an uphill battle: Liberal media from Boise to Bonner County, working in tandem with establishment politicians, are targeting her. Her conservative message reminding citizens that government is the servant of the people, NOT the people’s boss, is not compatible with their big government mindset.
However, Heather is tenacious. My husband and I were in Priest River when she was the only District 1 legislator who — along with Sheriff Wheeler — stood with the veteran whose 2nd Amendment rights were threatened by the VA. The newspapers called it grandstanding; 100+ citizens present called it Standing Up for the People.
Her opponent, of the pea-green signs, is funded by progressives and RINOs mostly clustered in Sandpoint. She has not shown herself in our rural communities and has scurrilously warned supporters not to campaign in the west end of the county because they will “get shot!”
The clear choice for District 1 is Heather Scott, a representative who works hard for the rural and city folks.
