America’s New Rules Of Engagement

There is no safety in this. Not for the people, nor for our Law Enforcement. And certainly not for our Republic.

America’s New Rules Of Engagement

It sounds like something out of the “Hunger Games”, yet it is real and happening in our country.

Yes, it was a horrendous thing to hear of 12 police officers being shot, 5 fatally, in Dallas. The response, however, is just as troubling.

It was an ambush that began with gunshots killing five officers and sent citizens running for safety. It only ended after a Dallas police bomb squad robot killed the gunman.

Micah Xavier Johnson, 25, of Mesquite, who served a tour of duty in Afghanistan, was killed Friday morning when police detonated a bomb intending on killing him.

“He was upset about Black Lives Matter, the recent police shootings, he was upset at white people. He wanted to kill white people, especially police officers,” Dallas Police Chief David Brown said.

The robot deployed in Dallas is normally used to disarm explosives, but police outfitted it with a bomb that was delivered to the suspect and detonated.

“We saw no other option but to use our bomb robot and place a device on its extension for it to detonate where the suspect was,” Chief Brown said.

Peter W. Singer, a technological warfare expert and author of “Wired For War,” told NBC News that using mobile robots — or MARCbots (Multi-Function Agile Remote-Controlled) — to detonate explosives was documented during the early days of the Iraq War — but it’s not something he has heard of in domestic policing.

The use of robotic vehicles, whether operated via remote control or through autonomous operating systems, is now an important part of U.S. military operations. However, numerous states already have bans on the weaponized drones.

With the divisions between our people, deliberately done in my opinion, the police are becoming as afraid of the citizens as the citizens are of the police. The Federal government has deliberately divided or country, and it is having devastating effects.

The police in Dallas had the time to think of what they were doing. This was not an instinctive, knee-jerk reaction. They thought up this plan, retrieved the robot, modified the robot, armed it with a bomb, sent it to the suspect, then activated the detonation.

What precedent does this set for our country? The people of our country have been deprived of Due Process. What will happen the next time? If the police are so afraid of the public, are the new rules of engagement to shoot first?

In times of war, Rules of Engagement are put into place. The government has shown us theirs. What will be the rules for the enemies of the State, the citizens? Is our country in a State of War, declared by the government against their own citizens?

There is nothing right about this. Not for the people, nor for our Law Enforcement. And certainly not for our Republic.

PS ~ I hope you are not bothering to worry about Hillary breaking the law anymore. You have something else with which to concern yourself.
