Zito Announces Challenge for Idaho 23A

Christy Zito is running for Idaho House of Representatives Seat 23 A. Her opponent has not been challenged since 2002.

Christy lives in Hammett with her daughter, they own a small farm there. She serves as Hammett Republican Party Precinct Committeewoman, and County State Committeewoman.

Zito believes in bottom up not top down government, government closest to the people is best. Sovereignty of the states must be protected, along with the liberty of the people who live here. Establishment, career politicians have for to long have taken it upon themselves to decide what is best for the citizens. This has been the case in Idaho. The citizens clearly stated, no mandated health care, no common core. They have been saddled with increased tax burden.

There are somethings that we should never compromise on. Life, liberty and the ability to pursue happiness.

Zito will defend the rights of the citizens to keep and bear arms. Knowing that liberty and responsibility go hand in hand, trusting that law abiding citizens know and accept that responsibility and their right to protect themselves and their families, from threats foreign and domestic.

Life is the most basic right of all. There is life at conception, and that life should be protected from that point until natural death. Dignity is a right afforded to all. To those who are in no position to speak for themselves, those of us who have a voice have a responsibility to protect that dignity.

Statistics prove that our state is in a better position to control public lands than federal bureaucrats. Public lands under state control are healthier, and by far more profitable. Bureaucratic red tape, binds the hand of good stewardship. Not having control of land within the borders of the state rob the citizens of money that would fund the state with out federal mandate, and interference. Management of these lands could ease the burden of tax on the citizens.

District 23 deserves representation that will vote liberty. That will vote the will of the people, that will have trust in those they represent. Christy Zito is that choice.

The Republican Liberty Caucus of Idaho PAC (RLCID PAC) has endorsed 22 candidates for the Idaho Legislature for the May 17th Republican Primary. To accept the RLCID PAC endorsement candidates are required to sign the “Liberty Compact” (below). We will be announcing the endorsed candidates as they sign and return their “Liberty Compacts” to us. Please check back often as we add names of endorsed candidates to this list. We will leave this post pinned to the top of this page now through May 17th.

NOTICE: You may be surprised to not see one or more of your favorite legislators on this list of endorsed candidates. That is likely because they do not have a Primary challenger. The RLCID PAC did not consider a candidate for endorsement in the Primary if they did not have a challenger. The RLCID PAC will announce its list of General endorsements sometime after the May 17th Primary. Any candidate endorsed in the Primary is automatically endorsed in the General.

Liberty Compact
“As your elected representative I will work to: Restore liberty, not restrict it; shrink government, not expand it; reduce taxes, not raise them; abolish programs, not create them; promote the freedom and independence of citizens, not the interference of government in their lives; and observe the limited, enumerated powers of our Constitution, not ignore them.”
