Kootenai County Candidates Meet the Public
A large crowd greeted the candidates at a forum in Athol for the Kootenai County Commissioner positions. Candidates for districts 2 & 3 were there to introduce themselves and answer questions.
The public had a good opportunity to get to know them and their positions, and the questions were interesting. Video below shows the opening and closing statements of the candidates.
Bonuses that evening included statements from two candidates for the sheriff race, incumbent Ben Wolfinger and challenger John Green.
Alan Littlejohn, candidate for Idaho House Seat 2B, was also in attendance and we got a short interview with him, also below.
The local elections are the most important, in terms of how directly they will affect you, the citizen. These are the people that will help make law, determine taxes, regulate zoning, and more.
Citizens are invited to ask the candidates the hard questions. These are the people that want to represent you. The campaigns are their job interviews. It is up to you to determine if they stand for the values that are important to you.
There will be another forum held on Monday, May 2nd for the Kootenai County Commissioners and Sheriff Candidates.
