Sandpoint Citizen Action Letter to Mayor Shelby Rognstad
by Darlene West
I researched and gleaned from the Idaho Constitution and the 1952 Act, and then I typed a letter to the Mayor and all the council members, and they’re out in the mail today.
Feel free to print or copy it, and either mail or email it to all of them, the unity of it I believe would put the fear of God in them.
People could add their own remarks to it, as well.
To Mayor Shelby Rognstad and All Sandpoint City Council Members
The resolution for the admission of Syrian refugees is feigned and illegal for the following reasons:
1. Your resolution claims “Where As it is counter to the United States Constitution,” which is a lie intended to deceive the people, so you can pass a resolution to satisfy your own personal ideology.
a. According Article 21, sec 20 of Idaho State Constitution, Idaho adopted the Constitution of the United States of America for the law of our great state Idaho.
b. United States Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, Chapter 2, Sec. 212 states: This section prohibits the entry of any Alien that belongs to a organization that sole purpose is to overthrow the United States through “force, violence, or other unconstitutional means.” This Mr. Mayor and Council Members rules out Islamic immigration to the United States.
c. President Carter used the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 to prohibit the immigration of Iranians as well as deport Iranian students back to Iran: http://abcnews.go.com/Archives/video/april-1980-us-cuts-relations-iran-9787014
2. Anything pertaining to immigration laws is the matter of the State of Idaho, not the business of The Mayor and City Council, per Article XIII of the Idaho Constitution: Bureau of Immigration—Commissioner shall be established a bureau of immigration, labor and statistics, which shall be under the CHARGE of a commissioner of immigration, labor and statistics, who shall be appointed by the governor, by and with the consent of the senate. The commissioner shall hold his office for two years, and until his successor shall have been appointed and qualified, unless sooner removed. The commissioner shall collect information upon the subject of labor, its relation to capital, the hours of labor and the earnings of laboring men and women, and the means of promoting their material, social, intellectual and moral prosperity. The commissioner shall annually make a report in writing to the governor of the state of the information collected and collated by him, and containing such recommendations as he may deem calculated to promote the efficiency of the bureau.
3. Idaho State Article 1, sec 4 demands the citizens of the state to be protected from any religious organizations, who intend to do harm and “nor shall there be any law that preferences any religious denomination or mode of worship”: …but the liberty of conscience hereby secured shall not be construed to dispense with oaths or affirmations, or excuse acts of licentiousness or justify polygamous or other pernicious practices, inconsistent with morality or the peace or safety of the state; nor to permit any person, organization, or association to directly or indirectly aid or abet, Council or advise any person to commit the crime of bigamy or polygamy, or any other crime. No person shall be required to attend or support any ministry or place of worship, religious sect or denomination, or pay tithes against his consent; nor shall any preference be given by law to any religious denomination or mode of worship. Bigamy and polygamy are forever prohibited in the state, and the legislature shall provide by law for the punishment of such crimes.
4. Your deceiving the people and going against the majority of your constituents will. You are acting in defiance to the law and overreaching your authority in the business of the State of Idaho.
If you don’t rip up this resolution, your constituents are planning the following:
1. Recall per article 6, sec 6: RECALL OF OFFICERS AUTHORIZED. Every public officer in the state of Idaho, excepting the judicial officers, is subject to recall by the legal voters of the state or of the electoral district from which he is elected. The legislature shall pass the necessary laws to carry this provision into effect
2. Seek and encourage numerous constituents to hire a US Constitutional attorney and begin a class action against the city of Sandpoint for hindering our liberties and rights provided in the Constitution of both US and Idaho’s.
Well said one look at Europe tells us All WE need to know about Islamic immigration. Lock n Load folks we are going to need that 2nd amendment real soon I feel.
Darlene, as a former Sandpoint resident, I want to thank you for your stance on Islamic immigration. Politicians at times make foolish decisions due to a lack of information, or poor insight. It is our duty as citizens to censure them when needed.
Consider the problem politicians have caused by opening their borders to uncontrolled immigration in Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, England, and others. Most of those immigrants are uneducated, bring no useful skills, and have no respect for the laws of their host country. Islam is not a peaceful religion, and they did not come to assimilate, but rather to change Europe into an Islamic Caliphate.
Islam is not my religion, Allah is not my God, and Muhammad is not my God’s Apostle. Living as a Christian in Muslin nations during my career has tainted my view of Islamic society. If they wish to live a 7th century lifestyle under Shari’a law, they can do it in their own countries. The Islamic culture and worldview is not compatible with our own and must not be forced on us as it has been in Europe
John,
Thank you for your kind words. It must have been difficult to live in that kind of society, especially being an US citizen. And thank you for sharing your experience. The more knowledge we have about the Islamic society gives us a better understanding of what we are up against.
My view is as yours. If any alien comes to our country, they need to abide by our laws/culture and contribute to our great nation. I am seeing an awakening and a movement throughout our nation of people standing in unity against the unjustified and illegal acts by our government officials, who either ignore or are attempting to destroy the very heart of the USA and steal our liberties. It made my heart happy that our local citizens unified in this fight. Because of our determination to stand strong together, we won this battle.
It absolutely infuriates me when I hear government officials and/or citizens think aliens, especially illegals, have rights under our constitution.
Today, I am proud and blessed to be part of a community that is not afraid to fight for what is their God given rights under our great US and Idaho Constitution.
God bless you,
Darlene
John,
You should write an article about your experience and submit it to redoubt. It would be a great needed information.
Good work Darlene. I picked up a copy of the koran and was shocked by the contents. All these people want to talk about something they haven’t read. The George Sorros U.N. and their misinformation campaign pay influential people huge sums of money to promote their agenda.
Thank you. I totally agree. It’s like everyone is an expert on the Constitution and the bible and they never read it. Great job in reading the Koran. I don’t know if I could get through it.
We must be careful using the argument that the state is in charge of immigration and not cities or counties. That can be used against us by the state to force our counties or cities to take refugees. It is a two-edged sword that must be carefully wielded.
Linda, That sounds reasonable, but wouldn’t you agree that our nation is a nation of laws and too many of our laws are ignored? Wouldn’t you agree, The mayor and the council people are prime examples of those who are ignoring the law and are attempting to control us by deceiving us into subjection? The law is the law and it’s being dumped on by political hacks. What’s more important, be careful of the argument of allow terrorists come into our community and slaughter us?
Darlene, You misunderstand me. I do not want the unvetted refugees dumped on us any more than you do. We just have to be careful about our arguments so that they are not later turned around on us. Oh, and the state is doing nothing about it except aiding and abetting. Just ask the people in Twin Falls who are fighting this.
I agree with you, but if put our local officials in line, then we can have better contrl over state officials by telling them no to illegal adventures. Then maybe we can rally the people to make Otter and the stat’s rep and Senate be held accountable to our constitution. Have you read it? Our state’s founders were liberty and God minded. They based our constitution on Biblical principles. We need to start holding all our gov. officials responsible to our laws and give them consequences when they run amok contary to the law for their ideologies and agendas. The law is not an argument or to be messed with. Knowledge is power. If can start with educating our locals of their rights, I believe we can help others who are now afraid to take a stand because PC,which go against the very grains of our liberties,it’s my belief, we can get our country back. I really agree with you and it makes my heart happy that the people of twin falls is fighting alongside with us. It feels good we are not alone in this fight.I fully understand what you’re saying, but we have to rally the people to put stop to this locally, state, and all over America. If we ban together, we can do this. I would like all of us in all local areas to have central area to where come together and make plans to defeat them and discuss our efforts and our results . It’s no longer party against party. It’s us against them. I’m one person with ideas to defeat them, so are you. Can you imagine if put our ideas and God given gifts together the difference we can make as a whole?
Right on! Glad the word is out. Let’s have a huge turnout. The Mayor plans on voting on 1/20/16 (maybe sooner) at Sandpoint, Idaho City Council meeting.
