Government Blames Protesters For Finicum Death

At a joint press conference today in Harney County, OR, Sheriff David Ward admitted that the traffic stop scenario was all an elaborate hoax to draw out the Protester’s leadership.

Harney County Sheriff Dave Ward said he was “disappointed” that the carefully planned traffic stop that was meant to bring a peaceful resolution to the weeks-long occupation “ended badly.”

“We don’t arm up and rebel. We work through the appropriate channels,” Ward continued. “This can’t happen anymore. This can’t happen in America, and it can’t happen in Harney County.”

FBI special agent in charge Greg Bretzing placed the blame for the situation squarely on the protesters. “It is the actions and choices of the armed occupiers of the refuge that have led us to where we are today,” Bretzing said.
“The armed occupiers were given ample opportunities to leave peacefully, “Bretzing stated. “They chose, instead, to threaten the very America they profess to love with violence, intimidation and criminal acts.”

I am waiting for a statement from Sheriff Glen Palmer of Grant County. It has been reported that he was part of the “Tactical Plan” (as Ward described it.) Though he has professed to be a Constitutional Sheriff, one wonders if his actions stood up to his words.   It has been confirmed that Sheriff Palmer was NOT involved in the ambush that led to LaVoy Finicum’s death.

There are eyewitness reports that LaVoy Finicum was cooperating with Law Enforcement, and was standing in a surrender position, when he was shot multiple times.

There are additional reports that Finicum made it very clear that he was not carrying any weapon.

I would very much like to question the law enforcement officers that were a part of this ‘Traffic Stop.’ I understand they were all armed with long guns, and were lying in wait for the cars to arrive.

If they believed that an unarmed protester was a serious threat against all their firepower, I wonder what else they are preparing for?

Finicum was killed on Tuesday afternoon, one day before his 56th birthday. Ammon Bundy, along with four others were arrested, at the scene of the traffic stop along Hwy 395 north of Burns. Two more people were arrested later the same day in Burns, in connection with this incident. An 8th man turned himself in to Arizona police, and will be transported back to Oregon.
